PROLOGUE
August 3rd, 1964. The U.S.S Maddox plowed slowly through the disturbed water of the ocean, with the U.S.S Turner Joy close behind. It was nightfall, and the sky looked like a pitch black blanket dappled with small twinkling stars. The moon reflected down into the abyss, making the water look like it had a long stripe of white straight through the middle.
It was only one day after the first attack on the Maddox at the Gulf of Tonkin, but everything seemed peaceful again. The Maddox and the Turner Joy were on their way to send some new supplies to South Vietnam, like they did
